The warnings on this page concern the replicas and airsoft activities introduced in the Airsoft sections. Equipment and rules for different activities, such as tactical shooting in Our Other Activities, are considered separately.
Airsoft Replicas
Airsoft replicas are hobby equipment designed to fire plastic BBs; they cannot be converted into real firearms and must not be used with live ammunition. Follow the intended use and instructions provided by the manufacturer.
Age and Team Membership
Ottoman Corsairs does not accept members under 18. Product age requirements, event participation requirements and team membership conditions must each be considered separately.
Eye Protection
Wear eye protection suitable for airsoft during games and test shots. Everyone within reach of a BB must wear eye protection. Do not remove goggles in the firing area.
Playing Areas
Use replicas only in authorised areas where the surroundings have been made safe. Do not point or fire at non-participants, animals or objects that could be damaged.
Transport
Do not display replicas in public; carry them in a suitable bag or case that conceals them. Check the current conditions of the transport service you use.
Storage
Make the magazine and power source safe according to the manufacturer's storage instructions. For battery-powered models, disconnect the battery as instructed; store replicas out of reach of children and unauthorised people.
Safe zone and test firing
In the safe zone, keep your replica on safe and remove the magazine. Follow the organiser’s procedure to clear any remaining BB in the designated safe direction before entering. Fire test shots only in the safe directions and areas designated by the organiser, with eye protection in place.

Follow the organiser's rules, field boundaries and safe-zone practices. Read the manufacturer's instructions for your replica and protective equipment.
